A new job
I am so ambivalent this time of year- find it hard to concentrate. Summer is done- all the crazy stuff I rush to do to get kids on the river. And yet the school year hasn’t quite started at camp- hard to get permission slips signed for a field trip the first week of school!
So we do the small, unnoticed things, unimportant lest they not be done, that make our school year work. We spend most of a morning moving tables and benches around under the new pavilion at the outdoor classroom, deciding on locations for the perc tank and the ground flow models. Erika and I chat about changes she is making in both the lake study sheet and the nature study. This and a dozen other jobs; Matt has built a nice new display table; Adam is cutting the grass.
We will be ready next week- could be ready tomorrow if need be.
